Well it looks like the summer is over now. Last week’s freak heat wave would have left many fashionistas in a fizz – you can just imagine the frantic search for July’s Haviannas and hot pants in girls’ bedrooms across the capital.
Fearne's pink hair-do
Not me. I would like to say I plan ahead but in actual fact I had only returned from the white isle last weekend and had a suitcase full of Ibiza fashion. So, I thought to brighten up everyone’s week I would share some trends I spotted in Ibiza that you could have fun with to prolong the summer by an extra week or two.
Bright nailcolour has been hot throughout the summer but just because the temperature is dropping doesn’t mean you have to get out the plum polish yet. Stick with orange, pink and blue to add a little summer to your look.
Amelia-Lily and her multi-coloured nails
You could always mix them up and paint your nails a variety ofcolours. It’s a trend that’s been seen a lot recently; X-Factor’s Amelia Lily was sporting this as she sang her way into Kelly Rowland’s final four. Personally though, I am not loving it.
Speaking of Amelia Lily, the 16-year-old revealed a new pink hairstyle and I must say I am loving that. Dianna Agron and Fearne Cotton have also been having fun with the rose tint. If you have the confidence to go candyfloss on top, do it. I would but I’ve spent the last year going from Goth black to beach blonde. Maybe next month, when things really start to get cold!
If you’re planning a big night out, remember your sunnies. Yes I’m being serious. Sunglasses in a nightclub are happening. Don’t question it just do it. Check out Sak Noel –Loca People to see how to rock the look.
Havana Ray Bans
A little more practical fashion advice for specs: Retro Ray Bans have been making a huge comeback. They are a cheaper alternative to the popular Tom Ford range, but still carry that designer look. Black is essential to achieve ‘geek chic’ but I went for the lighter tortoise-shell Havana pair to go with my skin tone. Remember to try on as many pairs of glassess as possible before making your choice. It’s the fun part of the opticians.
So use the next couple of days to say goodbye to summer properly because next time we’ll be looking at going out glamour and picking the best faux fur or winter.
