Across The Capital
By Kate Brown
Hello and welcome to another episode of Torie versus Commie; the podcast where we look at your favourite newspapers – or least favourite as the case may be – and highlight their biases.
We all know that newspapers are biased, but how? Where are their biases most obvious? We’re going to use this podcast to answer those questions so that you’re better informed when it comes to choosing your daily paper.
In today’s episode we’re looking at The Telegraph – one of the UK’s leading right-wing papers – and I’m joined by Mark Fisher, a freelance arts critic currently working for The Guardian.
As somebody who frequently sees a very different kind of bias, Mark was able to provide some interesting insights on a variety of topics – from unconscious bias, to the value of debate in media.
